About
Timothy was born in Wimbledon, London, and won a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music.
He also studied Russian song at the Britten-Pears school in Aldeburgh with Sergei Leiferkus.
He joined Glyndebourne Festival Opera soon after leaving college, where he sang and understudied a wide range of roles. He was presented with the Erich Vieteer Award to a ‘promising Glyndebourne singer’.
Timothy has worked with most of the UK opera companies including the Royal Opera House, Scottish Opera, Opera North and ENO.
